"Though I am someone who tries to stray from using absolutes, I can say without a doubt that Chi Omega is exactly where I belong! During rush, I kept track of my preferences by using painters tape on the wall in my dorm, each strip labeled with the names of each sorority. By the end of the process, all but one of the tape strips were starting to peel off because I had moved them around so much trying to perfect my rankings. The one in perfect condition, of course, was my Chi Omega tape, as it hadn’t moved an inch from its original spot at the top of my list. Each day, it becomes increasingly obvious that I made the right decision. I was worried that joining a sisterhood might mean that I would lose sight of my individuality, which is something that I hold very close to my heart. However, each girl I meet is special in her own way, sharing really only two simple, yet profound, things in common: she’s always 100% herself, and she loves UNC Chi O for giving her the space to be that way—and for that, I’m eternally grateful."
