"During the philanthropy round of recruitment, the other potential new members and I heard a speech from a senior Jackie Granger. Jackie told us the reason behind the current renovations on the Chi Omega house. Jackie explained that the whole purpose of this remodel was to make the house fully ADA accessible in honor of our former president Riley Watkins, so future PNMs, disabled or not, would feel more included in rush. My older sister, Elizabeth, has used a wheelchair her entire life. When I heard Jackie’s speech about making the Chi O house accessible and while talking to her one-on-one shortly after, I knew Chi O was right for me. I was so impressed with Chi O’s efforts to make their chapter more inclusive to all kinds of people. I cannot wait to take my sister to the Chi O house and show her just how grateful I am for every member of this chapter, and how proud I am to be a part of something so special."
